How do I get started with therapy?

Getting started is simple. You can contact Peace of Mind 5280, Inc. through our website, call our office, or request an appointment online. We help connect you with a therapist in our Elizabeth or Greenwood Village Office who fits your needs and guide you through the next steps. 

What can I expect during my first therapy session?

Your first session is a comfortable, supportive conversation focused on understanding you. We’ll talk about what brought you in, your goals, review some of your history, and how we can best support you through counseling journey. 

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or just need someone to talk to, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis. Many people seek mental health support for personal growth, clarity, and emotional support.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We provide evidence-based therapy in Elizabeth and Greenwood Village, Colorado, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, EMDR, and more. Each treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs.

Do you offer online therapy in Colorado?

Yes. We provide secure telehealth therapy across Colorado, making it easier to access care from home, especially in rural communities 

Is online therapy as effective as in-person counseling?

For many clients, yes. Telehealth therapy offers the same level of support and effectiveness as in-person sessions, with added flexibility. 

What age do you offer telehealth therapy for?

Telehealth services are available for clients ages 13 and older. For younger children, we offer in-person therapy to ensure the most effective and developmentally appropriate care. 

Do you offer in-person therapy sessions?

Yes. We offer in-person counseling in Elizabeth, Colorado, as well as at our Greenwood Village office, which will begin accepting clients in June 2026. This allows us to better serve individuals and families across Elbert County and the greater Denver area. 


Insurance & Payment for Therapy

Do you accept insurance for therapy?

Yes. Peace of Mind 5280, Inc. is in-network with many major insurance providers, including Medicaid, Medicare, and many commercial plans. Contact us to verify your benefits. 

Do you accept Colorado Medicaid for counseling services?

Yes. We are in-network with all Colorado Medicaid RAEs, making mental health care more accessible. 

What are your self-pay therapy rates?

Self-pay rates vary depending on the provider and service. We’re happy to discuss options and help you find a plan that works for you. 

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations so we can offer that time to another client in need. 


Confidentiality & Safety

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is very important to us. All counseling sessions are confidential, with limited legal exceptions related to safety. 

What should I do if I am in crisis?

Peace of Mind 5280, Inc is not a crisis center. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911, contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988, go to your nearest emergency room, or visit a local crisis center for immediate support.

Where is your counseling office located?

Peace of Mind 5280, Inc. has an office located in Elizabeth, Colorado, serving Elbert County and surrounding rural communities. In June of 2026, we will be opening our second location in Greenwood Village, CO.

Do you offer therapy for rural communities in Colorado?

Yes. Expanding access to mental health services in rural Colorado is a core part of our mission. We offer both in-person and virtual therapy options.
